Getting Started 

When setting up your seller account the first thing you will need to do is create your seller profile. Your Fiverr profile will be the information that the buyer community and therefore your potential buyers will see, so think about this carefully. Self-promotion is essential when providing an online service.

Step 1.

First, fill in your full name. Don’t worry; this won’t be visible on your finished seller profile.

Upload a profile picture. Make sure that this is a picture that you own, or that is royalty-free. (See Unsplash.)

Write a short but detailed profile description to introduce yourself to the Fiverr community.

Select any languages that you speak fluently, potential clients could come from anywhere in the world so a second language is a bonus.

Click continue.

Step 2. Your professional information.

Your occupation.  Select up to 2 categories of expertise for your Fiverr profile.

 Add up to 5 skills from the drop-down menu.

Skills. List any relevant experience and skills you have; you can list up to 15.

Education. List when and where you went to college.

Certificates. List all of your relevant qualifications.

Personal Website. Enter your website’s URL

Continue.

Step 3. Linked accounts.

List any social media platforms or business network accounts that you feel are relevant. Please note that you must add at least one. This information will not be visible on your profile.

Step 4. Account security.

In this section, you will have to verify your email and phone number.

You are now ready to create your first gig!

Step 1. Creating a gig.

To start creating your first gig, click on your profile picture and create a new gig page.

Gig title. Try to keep this short. You need people to understand what you are offering at a glance. Fiverr starts you off with I will, and you will need to keep your sales pitch to under 80 characters.

Category. Select the correct category for your gig. Fiverr will help you out with some suggestions.

Search tags. Add up to 5 keywords that describe your gig. These will help your customers find you.

Step 2. Pricing.

Name your gig packages. You will need to write a brief description of your services.

Delivery time. Please select how long it will take for you to complete.

Revisions. This section is optional, but it is necessary for services that offer customization.

Price. Select a set price starting from $5 up to the maximum that Fiverr will allow you to charge for your particular gig. Remember to consider that you need to be competitive and that Fiverr will take 20% of what you charge the customer. Specific categories will allow you to offer three different packages for varying prices depending on the level of service given and time spent.

Adding extra services.

Some categories will allow you to offer extra services, such as an additional fast delivery service for an extra cost. You can charge more for getting the job done faster.

Shipping and handling.  Shipping fees are only relevant to gigs that offer a physical product that requires posting.

Description and FAQs Add a brief description of your gig and answer the FAQs that Fiverr provides. If you can think of any more questions, then enter them and the answers.

Save and continue.

STEP 3. Requirements.

Let the clients know what you require of them to offer them your services.

Step 4. Gallery.

Upload three relevant gig image photos and add any gig videos.

Publish.

Click on Publish. Congratulations, you now have a gig on Fiverr!

Sit back and wait for the gigs to come in!

Fiverr will deposit your earnings in the bank once you have completed each gig.

Once you are up and running with your gigs, the Fiverr community has plenty of support. They offer how-to guides on all categories to help you grow your business. There is a community forum to chat and get advice from other sellers. They have regular blogs full of helpful information and Fiverr stage events to help you with your business. It is a community in every sense of the word.
