Step 1. Creating a gig.
To start creating your first gig, click on your profile picture and create a new gig.
Gig overview.
Gig title. Try to keep this short. You need people to understand what you are offering at a glance. Fiverr starts you off with I will, and you will need to keep your sales pitch to under 80 characters.
Category. Select the correct type for your gig. Fiverr will help you out with some suggestions.
Search tags. Add up to 5 keywords that describe your gig. These will help your customers find you.
Step 2. Pricing.
Name your package. You will need to write a brief description of your service.
Delivery time. Please select how long it will take for you to complete.
Revisions. This section is optional, but it is necessary for services that offer customization.
Price. Select a price starting from $5 up to the maximum that Fiverr will allow you to charge for your particular gig. Remember to consider that you need to be competitive and that Fiverr will take 20% of what you charge the customer. Specific categories will allow you to offer three different packages for varying prices depending on the level of service given.
Adding extra services.
Some categories will allow you to offer extra services, such as an additional fast delivery service. You can charge more for getting the job done fast.
Shipping and handling. Shipping fees are only relevant to gigs that offer a physical product that requires posting.
Description and FAQs Add a brief description of your gig and answer the FAQs that Fiverr provides. If you can think of any more questions, then enter them and the answers.
Save and continue.
STEP 3. Requirements.
Let the customer know what you require of them to offer them your service.
Step 4. Gallery.
Upload three relevant photos and add any gig videos.
Publish.
Click on Publish. Congratulations, you now have a gig on Fiverr!
Sit back and wait for the gigs to come in!
Fiverr will deposit your earnings in the bank once you have completed each gig.
Once you are up and running with your gigs, the Fiverr community has plenty of support. They offer how-to guides on all categories to help you grow your business. There is a community forum to chat and get advice from other sellers. They have regular blogs full of helpful information and Fiverr stage events to help you with your business. It is a community in every sense of the word.
Something that you may find helpful when setting up is their logo creator. You will have access to their designers, who will design you a logo based on all the information you give them. A symbol will help to create a brand identity for your business. Once you have completed your logo, they will offer you a selection of packages to help you advertise your business. While this isn’t a free service, it is worth looking at to improve your sales potential across all media platforms.
